What to expect ...

Visit to the Geierwally open-air theatre in Elbigenalp, where theatres are performed in front of impressive mountains. After that, we will be introduced to local history by visiting the Wunderkammer. Woodcarving is cultural heritage in Elbigenalp for why it is home to one of the oldest and most renowned woodcarving schools in Europe.

Our studytour continues with a visit the Tiroler Lech Nature Park Centre on the Klimmbrücke bridge in Elmen. The architectural masterpiece is the administrative centre of the nature park and is embedded to the Tiroler Lech wild river landscape, a Natura 2000 region. This will be a perfect location to  have lunch with a regional buffet full of exquisites from local farmer’s.

In the afternoon, we will be at the imposing Ehrenberg castle ensemble near Reutte. Ehrenberg was once a defense facility, administrative centre and boarder control station. Today, the castle can be easily accessed by inclined railway and offers exciting views with a 400 metre long suspension bridge over the valley.
